Inline 180 Stat Mod - Overheating
Correct. This was my issue. I'm sticking with one hole for now. I'll see what happens over the course of a couple days. If temps continue to fluctuate and I'm sure all air has been expelled then, I'll drill a second hole.
I believe the Fan clutch is good. Can only assume its the factory original. 124,xxx miles from '04.
Driving home from my old man's shop - she ran good 185.0 on the highway. Consistently.
Idle temps peak at 188.6 then drop to 183.2.
Whatever air was "trapped" is gone now. I'm stoked.

That's great.
I'm interested in this mod. Did you follow a certain bunch of info?
I'm at 104k right now. Original HGs. Temps great. But I want to see if I can push the HGs as far as possible. While I rarely see 201deg at idle, as a spike, I do see an inline stat as a really good move.

I highly recommend the inline stat mod to anyone that monitors their UG temps more than the person sitting next to them.
I modeled my setup off ATL Disco's.
