Default installed engine now no start

i just replaced the engine on a 2002 discovery and it will not start it seems to me like the anti theft device is on but i dont know. i have power to the coil pack but no signel from the computer for spark . i dont t hear the fuel pump eithor.i got one pending code from the scanner obd2 generic that was 1668 i think that said it could be a open connection but i could not find it.i was wondering if anyone could head me in the right direction to figure it out. is there a way of telling if the anti theft system is engaged or not thank you for your help

Crank position sensor.
Either it is not hooked up or it is bad.
That is what controls the spark.
