Default Installing a bluetooth amp and wireless charging in place of old radio

This is a little unusual, but perhaps some of you will find it interesting. I took out the stock radio/CD combo and put in a bluetooth amp. Then I added a wireless charging station where the radio used to be. There are probably easier ways to do this (i.e. with a bluetooth adapter, etc.), but this is what I did: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

pretty sweet - lots of work but, u don't have to fear your head unit going bad anymore, and you've got a wireless solution, which is best of all imho.

nice work

Thanks! I can't say I've been running it long enough to give a clear verdict, but I like it so far. I love not having to deal with charging cords and other electronic clutter.

So, i'm no audio components expert - does this setup (with you going bluetooth to the AMP) allow you to continue utilizing the volume control on the steering wheel?

What you've done there is super-attractive but i wouldn't want to lose the wheel volume control...

Then again "Hey Siri, reduce volume to 6" might work for all i know

Nope, you can't use the steering wheel controls. There's a module you can buy to make it work, but I haven't researched how I'd work it into this setup yet. At the moment I just toggle volume on my phone, which isn't horrible, but I too would rather use the wheel controls. This is something I need to look into for a future project.
