instrument panel warning bulbs replacement
Hello,
I have a 99 disco series II, I need to replace some of the warning bulbs in my instrument panel.
does the cowling just lift off??
what about the switches located on each side of the cowling??...will I need to unplug them??
and how hard are the bulbs to get to and replace???
thanks

This is how you do it on a DI, I think a DII is the same.
Lower the steering wheel all the way, ther are two screws, remove them. Then the cowling just lifts off, the switches come with it.

Most of them are LEDs rather then normal bulbs. Did they work before? I have heard of people buying rigs with bulbs removed, theyput bulbs in and the dash is lit up like a christmas tree. There is a sticker on the instrument housing that says static sensitive. Most of the lights are inside the housing. There are a few that install from the outside of the housing for instrument backlights.
