RE: INSTRUMENTS LIGTHS OUT AND LEFT TAIL LITGHS OUT
Its your light switch mounted on your steering wheels, your int lights shouldnt be working but your break lights should except for the running lights. I dont think it is the dimmer switch but instead the light arm. If you can find one, just get a cig lighter attachment that had the positive and negative wire connectors on the end and wire it directly for the meantime, worked for me.

funny enough i'm having the same problem. All of a sudenthe interior dash lights and front and rear parking lights do not go on. I'll check the fuse under the hood does anyone know which fuse i should check. There are five or six there and I'm not usre which one is it. If that doesn;t work it sounds like i might have to replace the switch on the steering column. Until i find a replacement, can someone tell me how to use the cigarette lighter pigtail to bpass the system? What do i connect the two wires coming from the plug to? I'm dead in the water for night driving now.
By the way, I have a 96 Disco.
