Is it a known problem that the intake manifold gaskets can develop leaks on an 03 Discovery.

I'm looking at a 03 Discovery, the owner said it had a warped head. I asked him it ever over heated and he said no. The owner also said you could hear a sucking sound, with little power loss. The truck is drivable but not recommended. I guess intake gaskets failing on 03 Discoverys is not common?

 

Warped head and it didn't over heat? Yeah sure. Stay away from this one and look elsewhere buddy.
