Default Interior floor/floormat leak - AC?

On the passenger side of my 01 Disco II the floor is getting soaked in front of the front and back seat. I have felt around all over the place, looked all over to see the source of the leak but I see nothing.

I searched on here to see if there were any related threads and didn't see any. If you know of any, send them my way please :]

There's been no rain here and the AC has been running both times but I can't pinpoint the source. Anyone had this issue?

This is very common on these vehicles.
It is your a/c vent clogged. You have to get under your vehicle, and there are two rubber tubes with pointed nipples. the nipples can be removed and cleaned. Be prepared for a flood of water to come out.

They are right around where the cats are, coming out of the rise of the floorboard where transmission is.

Mine clog up A LOT. Why are those nipples not more open? Any harm to opening them more?

These were trickier to find than I thought they would be. Higher up than I imagined.

Personally, I give my nipples a squeeze with every oil change/propshaft greasing.

I removed mine and going to stick a tube and route to each side a bit. Right now they are open.

Do the nipples pull off the end? It would be nice to route them away from the cat and driveshaft.

To the OP, I usually find a wire hanger and make something to piddle with them. It always gets me filthy.

The nipples pull out of the end, they are installed in the tube, not on the tube. FYI

What he is saying is that you can clear them by finding the two tubes on the underside of the tranny tunnel and then poking a thin stiff object (like a straightened shirt hanger) up through the opening in the nipple. That will release the backed up liquid which is the condensed water from the A/C system. Some people use compressed air to blow out the blockages but it is a low pressure system so high pressure could cause damage.

This should be a part of your regular maintenance routine.

If you live in a hot weather area you can open your windows and let the carpets dry, otherwise remove them and dry them and the floor pan to prevent mold or rust.
