Interior Fuse Panel
I learned from the local LR dealership that I need a new interior fuse panel on the passenger side. They quoted roughly $600 for parts and labor, but I'm wondering if I can do this myself. If so, where is the best place to find the panel? Looking online it hasn't been easy finding the part with the same description the dealer gave.
The problems I had which led me to the LR service dept. were no central locking, CD player not working, random interior lights coming on. Thought it was the BCU and bought a used one, but alas the LR service dept. found it wasn't so and told me about the panel.
Any help is much appreciated.

You could get a panel from a dismantler, or possibly a salvage yard if one is nearby. There have also been posts of guys who identified the fried fuse parts of the panel, cut away the melted wire and attached an in-line fuse holder with the same amp rated fuse. If poking around the fuse panel, hood should open, alarm switch depressed or unplugged, and battery disconnected. The whole fuse panel is not bad, just one or two fuses.
I've been able to find a couple of used options already, so thanks for the suggestion. I have not found any blown fuses; are you saying that it should not be an issue that involves replacing the whole box?
