Default interior lights

I recently bought an 01 Discovery. I have a problem, the interior lights wont come on. I checked the bulbs they all look good. I checked the fuses that control the interior lights, none have blown. The vanity mirror lights work and the glove box light work but none of the other interior lights work. Can anyone help?

Hi !

Did you check the door switch ? i.e. the switch somewhere in the door frame, it switches the light on when you open the door; these tend to get dirty contact surfaces...
Also, is there not a switching position somewhere so that the interior light can be switched off ? Check owners manual for this.

Regards,

Takeo

I will try that stuff thanks. I was talking to a guy who works at a dealership. He told me something about a dome relay. He spoke like it might be a fuse for this under the hood. Have you ever of this and do you know the fuse number (I misplaced my owners manual).
