Just got a Garmin Gps system and my Land Rover Disco 2004 is powering it intermittently. This occurs in both the front cigarette lighter and the adapter in the back of the car... We installed a trailer brake to tow our Airstream and I'm wondering if this is causing the power outages. Both our dvd player and our cell phone chargers seem to work.. not sure why the Garmin is having issues. I have and continue to check fuses, none are blown. Any thoughts?

 

Check the connectors on your power plug. It has to be that or your GPS is starting to fail, my Garmin had the same issues and then one day, it just wouldn't power up again even on it's batterys.
