Just bought a Discovery II with some ODBII issues... am I screwed?
New to Land Rover, just bought a 2004 Discovery II with 120K+ miles. No codes, but OBDII is showing "Not all supported I/M monitor tests are complete" and Catalyst Mon and Evap System Mon are showing as "inc" since DTCs last cleared.
After doing some research I've heard if its not a gas cap issue it's probably a catalytic converter issue which will cost serious $$$ to fix.
Am I screwed here? Concerned that eventually if I can't fix this, it will not pass inspection.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Thanks, this is helpful. I'll do some research on this.
I've seen videos by Scott Kilmer stating that before going ahead and removing the converter (which can be a PITA), you can first try to pour some type of thinner to run through the system that will clean up a lot of the crap that tends to build up the in catalytic converter.
Anyone tried this?
Also if anyone has any tips on fixing the evap monitor issue that'd be great! Seems like it's been somewhat a recurring issue on this vehicle from what the PO told me.

When I bought my 2002 D2 the smog station listed the exact same result. The problem was as others eluded to - there haven’t been enough drive cycles since the last time the CE light or codes were cleared. You need to put some miles on it and then your problem should resolve. I think 100 miles of varying speeds is the normal recommendation.
Will drive it some more and see if anything crops up.
