Well I am taking my truck to Ft Worth TX in 2 weeks for a long weekend.
Malberg lives in California but he will still be 1200 miles from me.
So I do not know if he would want to drive that far or not, if so I would be more than willing to trade with him.

Is it just cause of the angle... the mount points don't look like they're directly over the pillars: was that for the wrong model of Disco?

It is, isn't it? The donor's a D2, and yours is a D1.

LOL Baylink, man I could just flame you right now if I wanted to.
You didnt read the link I included. LOL, thats ok.

That is a DII SD roof rack and I have a DI, so no, it does not line up 100% correctly.
But for $150 I could not pass it up, they sell for $700 used and not even in as good a shape as the one I got.
This truck has been sitting in the junk yard for over a year.
Yes I would like a DI SD rack but not a big deal to me otherwise.
The only people who can tell the difference are Rover fans.

And yet, I'm observant enough to have noticed anyway. So I'm getting flamed why? :-)

I agree with Ed and Cam; it looks like hell. Whaddya want for it? :-)

Seriously; nice get. And the only people who can tell the difference are Rover fans who contemplate hauling their 240 pound *** up on the roof with a tripod and camera...

what the hell do you guys put on those racks? never had a need for one.

for $500 you could almost buy a lift. or new tires. or sliders. or a bumper.

Anything you want.
Yesterday I hauled a 9ftx100ft roll of Tyvek to my dads 35 miles away because he has a Civic.
Once I get a floor on it we can sit up there with lawn chairs and watch fireworks, air shows, duck hunt or reach that tree branch that needs trimming and you need a stable place to stand.
Vacation, hell man, where else is a better place for your mother-in-law to ride?
The uses for a SD roof rack are endless.
