Just finished head gasket job, misfire on #8
2000 series 2, short story...check my other post...
Finished the head gasket job today, started her up, had a misfire on 8. We did the plugs(Bosch 4) did the wires(Napa premium 7mm lifetime warranty) and changed numerous other necessities. Any ideas before we do a coil? Thanks gang!!

Yea, he said no spark on #8. Hes off today but a tech here said it turned over last night and sounded great for about 10 mins. Then went to choppy and gross sounding. I wont find the code number til Monday.
Alright team, tech came in for a little. Said number 8 has no fire. He pulled the wires and said it was only one not firing. So he said I need a coil for that side. On top of that he accidentally broke a nipple on the radiator and now it needs a new one, whole thing. Not my expense
Admittedly, a long while ago. Partly why I got better at fixing stuff myself.
Good luck with the misfire. They've obviously, swapped wires, and coils around, to verify that's the prob?
I don't think he did, he assured me he wants this truck out of his life just as much as I want it in mine! Ha. So hopefully new coils and a new radiator, their expense, is all I need to freedom!
