Default Just finished my custom dash pod!

just put the finishing touches on my latest project. It started out as a store bought triple dash pod and I customized it to fit the void on the center dashboard. I thought it would look somewhat original in that location. I made a plug out of MDF, rounded over the edges with a router and cover it with fleece and resin. I modified the dash pod to void out the area where the mounting bolts went since I wasn't going to use them. The pod was then glued to the plug and then I bondo'd the corners for a seamless look. The finish is Duplicolor bed armor and lastly I dropped in some sport comp gauges I had laying around. So there you have it!

I like the look I thought of it myself, but isn't that covering a sensor or something on the dash? I thought there was a sensor or and open slot of something like that in the dash.

Yeah it does cover up what looks like a vent but not from the ac system, no sensors though. It's just a oil, temp and volt sport comp gauge set up I had laying around. Anything is better over the stock gauge.

Excellent - looks really professional and serves a purpose with eye level instruments.
