Default Just got my first Land Rover

So just got my first land rover disco II (2003). Its awesome. Course having all the problems they have and thats fine by me cause thats what I like. gives me something to do. So can a senior member give me the inside on some good lift kits, what kind of axles does it have, splines etc etc. Any info would rock. I am a pretty good fabricator and want to make my own roof rack but would like to know what mounting kit would be used. For like arb type. still playing with it trying to figure out all the bells and whistles. Anyhow just wanted to post and say thanks for having a cool site for references. That rocks.

first off did you check the vin is out of the bad oil pump range? did you rebuild your front drive shaft? did you complete the 60k service? welcome to the madness.

Welcome to the forum ! Check that vin for the oil pump issue, regardless install an oil pressure gauge to keep tabs.

I believe that you have to be a member for an x amount of time or have an x amount of posts before you have all of the privileges, like viewing pictures etc.

post your VIN # on here somebody can tell you if its in the bad range

get an account at photobucket.com or another pic hosting site to post pics

look at your front driveshaft, if the u-joints don't have greaseable zerk then rebuild it or take it to a drive shaft shop to be rebuild..should cost around $200
