Thumbs down just replaced spark plugs....now I'm having issues.

I just replaced my spark plugs on my 2000 disco (used the bosch platinum +4's). I was having any issues prior to replacing them, but it was time. I didn't replace the plug wires. After I put them in I started to notice that the engine was having some problems. I'm getting some intermittent accelerations, sometimes it hangs up for a couple of seconds when I'm cruising. When I give it alot of gas it doesn't seem to happen, but I did the job yesterday, and it's definately getting worse. Is there any way i can narrow this down to a specific plug? They all went in pretty smooth.....is it possible that I damaged a plug wire....perhaps I didn't tighten one enough? Check engine light has not gone off.

If I remember right you are not suppose to use the +4 without getting 8mm wires. I don't think that the stock wires send enough voltage. I would either order the magnecore 8mm or get some different plugs.

You might as well order the Magnecor wires and get the job done right.

I am using the +4s with 7mm magnacore and my engine is running like new, not one hicup.

When you pulled the plug wires from the old plugs, you may have pulled out some of the main wire from the connectors.

I just ordered the magnecor 8mm from apex performance.....also, if anyone wants to get 10% their next apexperformance.net order you can use the promo code "APEX-WINS-10".

Mike does that mean my wires are shot.......(if I pulled out some of the main wire)....is it ok to drive?

Note that Apex Performance doesn't let you use that 10% discount on Magnecor wires...I tried that a few months ago. Unless they changed something...
