Default Keep getting cylinder 6 misfire

ok got new wires, plugs and boot protectors. I'm running NHL iridiums and kingsborne 8mm wires. It is getting spark and the code only comes occasionally. My next step is replacing coil packs with factory Bosch ones. Let me know yalls' thoughts. If anybody has new ones for sell, let me know.

Look inside the cyl through the spark plug hole with a boroscope, what you don't want to see is coolant causing that misfire.

Don't ask me how I know. :-/

done that and it's good to go down there and the plug isn't steamed or anything and I did head gaskets about 7-8 months ago.

I don't remember your backstory. Was cylinder 6 misfiring before the new plugs and wires?

You can switch your 2 coil packs to test...without buying any more parts. If the misfire moves to the other side, then replace that coil pack. If the misfire remains on #6 after the swap, then coil packs aren't your problem.

no misfires before the wires and plugs and they were put on after head gaskets

move been debating that but I don't want to pull the intake unless I'm gonna swap em out. My hands are too damn big and I need to replace them anyways when I do the gerry relocate

Also, after swapping your 2 coil packs from side to side, swap your #6 fuel injector with your #1 fuel injector to see if your misfire moves.

If the misfire moves, then clean that injector (while removed from motor). I like to clamp 2 alligator leads to each fuel injector connector and then activate the injector out of the car by touching the other 2 ends of those alligator clips to a 9 volt battery while I am spraying cleaner in their intake. I click it on/off a bunch of times per injector while watching the output flow.

ill give that a shot too. I got a warranty on the injectors. Had them professionally cleaned while the heads were getting decked and redone

Naw, you don't have to do that. Disco's use "wasted spark" which means 2 plugs fire at the same time off of each coil. This means that the spark fires in the compression phase and in the exhaust phase (which is just *wasted* hence the name wasted spark).

Check the diagram. I think that means that #6 and #7 get the same spark (just from a different plug connector), so you can pull your #7 wire and swap it to your #6 spark plug for a test to see if the misfire switches to #7...if that is easier than swapping coil packs.
