Default Key Fobs, Land Rover Discovery---help

I know that one can buy new key case parts, to install in one's case, and new whole cases as well, with blank keys included. Now, if one wants to remove existing cut key from case, to install a new blank key in same case, is that possible? In other words, if one can install a new key blank in one's old case, HOW DOES ONE REMOVE THE OLD KEY, TO INSTALL NEW ONE IN CASE? OR, ARE THEY GLUED IN, AND NOT MEANT TO BE REMOVED?

Yes, the key blade can be removed. They aren't glued in. They don't come out easily, but if you don't intend to reuse the old blade grab it with pliers and pull/wiggle until it comes out.

Sometimes they are glues in, but only if it previously broke, and someone 'fixed' it, then you might be out of luck. But normally they do just pull out, takes a good amount of force, i recommend a vise to hold the blade. Just be sure not to twist it. Also, any locksmith should be able to cut the key, but I would go there in person as opposed to call them, sometimes they'll say no just because you say Land Rover.

That looks WAY to easy! I tried to pull the key out, but didn't realize it needed to come out at an angle.
