My 04 didn't come with it's remote. Could someone give me the specs i need to know which one is correct on eBay etc. I see some listed missing buttons and in rough shape but also see cover kits.. will these replace what normally gets worn?

What will I need to program the fob?

Sorry for the rookie questions but I've never seen the correct fob in person

 

CWE100710KIT is the part # you are looking for. You'll need to bring that new key to the dealer to program or find someone with an LR specific scan tool.

 

I found these guys when I thought my key was dead. They were quick to answer emails and it turned out my receiver was the issue so I never actually purchased. For the price though, I may get a second key anyhow. Anyone tried this option?
