Default klunking ..... again

ok so i've been driving my new disco more and more now but i still cant get over the kulnking comming from the transfer case. it isnt all that bad but it gets annoying after a while. i know that this vehicle is know for this sound but is there a specific speed that it should be felt at ? the worst felt klunks are right around 35mph but at lower and higher speeds it isnt as noticable. i've been told on here also that i need to replace the u-joints and grease them and some other stuff but i have no idea how much this would cost nor do i have the confidence to do it myself becuase i never really worked on cars before. so i guess what im asking is how much can i expect to pay to get this fixed and could a novice mechanic do it with proper instructions( the most i've ever done on my truck is install an intake and exhaust)

Not sure what year you have, but if you have a diff lock, you can un-bolt the front and drive it with the diff locked. You can take it by a driveline specialist. Call them first and get a quote. It migh only be $50 difference if you take it off. Not worth it to me....

Good Luck!
