knock sensors
2003 Discovery 4.6L with SAI
I recently fixed my cyl 4&7 misfire problem which was a cracked coilpack and bad ECU and then cleared codes. Had no SES so took it in for inspection. I failed inspection for "code readiness" so I started to put on some mileage. I estimate at about 10 miles my SES light came on and stayed on.
Codes read by Hawkeye are:
P0130 10 o2 probe pre-cat value not plausible, fault present and intermittent
P0171 26 Fuel adaptation ti Multiplicative Max Value exceeded Fault present and intermittent
P0327 210 Knock Sensor Bank 1 min value not reached Fault Not Present and Static
P0171 27 Fuel adaptation ti Multiplicative Max Value exceeded Fault present and intermittent
codes read by Actron autoscanner plus:
P0130 confirmed
P0171 bank 1 too lean, pending
P0327 Knock Sensor circuit too low bank 1, pending
P1171 pending
Should I be looking for a problem at this point or do I need to put more mileage on to let the adaptations adapt?
Should I reset the codes and put on the miles to see if codes return?
Should I reset adaptations?
Truck runs great.

OK.
How about resetting adaptations too? I know nothing about what happens when you reset adaptations but I'm wondering if the fact that the truck had two dead cylinders that would screw up adaptations. Should I leave the adaptations alone? I have a hawkeye tool and I never reset adaptations so I don't know what to expect if I did reset them.

when you clear emission codes for an inspection. the system has to show that it's been drivin so many miles after a reset before it will pass an inspection. could be 50 miles or even 75. probably depends on your area.
