Default knocking sensor

hello was wondering if any of you guys have come to a problem like this.

i received a knocking sensor code, went down to replace but noticed the plug to the sensor is cut, probably due to old wiring and the vibration coming from the engine.

has anyone replaced or been able to salvage a plug like this?

thank you in advance!!!

I have fixed them before, but you don't have much to work with.

i would try soldering in a 2" section to give you some room to work.

if not, you need to buy a pigtail for the knock sensor(section of harness you can cut off).

That cable is a coax so you need to maintain the shield if you try to fix it.

The easiest way is to get one from a harness at a U Pull and lay it in with your harness.

There is a section closest to the connector which is not coax, so splicing that section is the best option.

Yeah, just splice it and reconnect the wire if you have enough left. Mine still not connected for years now and still getting a 327 but it wont trigger an SES light and my inspection pass.
