Lightbulb Lack of updates in the DIY sticky

I see so many DIY posts being added on a daily basis in various threads around our forum but none of them ever make it back to the ""Write ups" , "How To's" , and "MUST Reads" Sticky at the top of the Discovery II section. What gives? Why are the mods sleeping on this?

Can we grant a few others the ability to modify that first post by jycsalas? That super mod hasn't posted anything since March of 2015.
Let's breathe some new life into that sticky please!

Anyone else frustrated with the lack of updates in that sticky?

Also makes no sense why certain DIY posts are stickied individually and not in the parent thread. E.g. How To: Installing Wet Okole Seat Covers On Disco II

Thanks! Maybe we can use this thread in the meantime to gather DIY posts that are floating around and not in the main sticky?
Sent you a DM on this. If you need an extra hand I don't mind helping organize that thread. Would just need the additional access to allow me to modify that post.

Yes, we have had some great fixes and mods that are a pain to search for, stickies would be nice.

To be honest, I agree with OP.

I think that maybe the Mod can enlist someone for a 30 day period to clean up the stickies (i.e. remove the chatter, add new content, remove old content). Also, during this period maybe the person could lock some old threads in the wanted and for sale threads to clean that up as well.

If you guys have found a thread that is a how to that needs to be added please post a link here and we will work on getting it done.

Here is the spot to do it:

https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...12/#post691338

Just post the link and pm myself or Best4x4 and we will get it reviewed. No arguing about it in there or random questions please.

As for limited powers to do it that is difficult at best to do. Moderators are extremely limited on what they can accomplish so basically I would have to make the person a super moderator and it’s not a set time limit thing. So as I see it the best solution is submission of the thread so we can look at it.

We don’t read every post, we aren’t paid to do this, we are just members that are active, willing to spend extra time on here trying to keep the peace, approve new member posts, delete the spam and run off the trolls from time to time. Oh and I can’t forget get threatened, harassed and stalked by folks that act out and get banned.

So to use an old movie quote help me help you.

Honestly the best way to make a long standing member a ghost is to make them a Moderator. The BS burns one out quickly.

Thanks for everything you and Best4x4 do for this forum! Certainly appreciate you setting this up for us and wish I could appreciate everything else you guys do behind the scenes. Here's to hoping the trolls, cyber bullies and creeps get what they deserve!
Everyone boomark/subscribe to that thread while you all can still find it!
