Well I guess this proves either I'll really really bored,or I'm admitting to being a big Nerd. Has anyone else out there found themselves collecting die cast Discoverys? A couple of years back I was surfing Ebay and Discovered that Matchbox has a pretty impressive collection of DII's in their lineup.To date there are 13 different Matchbox variations(that I know of) of the Discovery II,including a few limited editions.Also there are toy companies such as Realtoy,Britains,Motormax etc..making their own versions of Discovery I & II's in various scales and styles.All pretty neat if you like this sorta thing.I've got a fair sized curio cabnet here in my Den that I display some of them in.I think its pretty cool,but hey,I'm a big kid.

 

I have 2 of the Matchbox cars and 1 remote controlled D1.

Guess that makes 2 nerds on here.

Nerd #4.....sad thing is that I work at a dental office.....and I bribed a 6 year old liitle boy out of his Matchbox disco II.......I let him pick 2 toys from the "toy chest" and I gave him 20.00. The boys mom thought I was a nut....but the little boy left my office with the biggest smile on his face....he knew he scored a deal!!!!
