Land Rover emblem
About a year ago now, I had the front hood of my 2003 Disco ii repainted which involved the replacement of the "LAND ROVER" emblem on the front.
The new letters are soft puffy unlike the old one that were hard
When last summer came around the new letters blistered.
I contacted the body shop and they obtained them from the local Land Rover dealer.
They were under warranty so I just now (due to lead time) obtained replacement letters and had them installed.
The issue is they are the same type as before - soft and puffy.
The body shop and the local dealer said, "that is all that is available now"
I'm concerned that when summer comes round they might blister again.
Question: does anyone know an alernate type of "LAND ROVER" emblem that might be more robust, solid, better and look good?
Thanks

I am not sure what you meant by the hood decal "blistering". Just an fyi...
The 1999-2003 uses the thinner flatter hood decal:

The 2004 uses the thicker and more solid letters.... but pricey:

Just curious, which one did you use?

You’re 100% correct about this.
The pre-2004 letters ...
I ran into this on my old 2000 a few years ago after the hood was repainted. I thought it was because maybe the clear coat was off gassing or something as they were applied very soon after painting the hood.
So I too, bought new ones (for a good chunk of change) from the LR dealership) and replaced them again, and the next year, they bubbled up again.
Same deal happened.
I sold the car on BringATrailer shortly thereafter ... so I didn’t care.
What is annoying is that they did not used to do this.
Maybe LR changed suppliers or something at some point.
It’s not worth putting the incorrect plastic 2004 letters on there, IMO.
I think they don’t look too awful puffy but they’re definitely not 100% the same as the vintage 99-2003 letters!
