I seem to remember reading an article years ago in a 4 wheel drive magazine about a really good off-road driving techniques book written by Land Rover. I think I even saw it in Barnes/Noble once. Does anybody know what I'm talking about and what the title is? Is it any good? Thanx

Where do you live? Have you done any wheeling with your truck?
Here is the best, by far, place to go for learning how to drive off road, be it saftey, tools, vehicles, you name it, Bill is by far the best one to help you. Buy his books or better spend a little money and go on a journey of a life time and know that when you ar done, you will have a really first hand know ledge of what your truck and you can do.

Don't waist your money. Best thing to do is hands on learning, second is joining a 4wheel club and learn from others third thing to do is read and if you read, read a book like Bill sells, he is s Defender owner who teach from 20 plus years of experience.

 

I was wondering more about the book itself,what Land Rover pictures/references were in it,locations and general content. Almost from a sovinour or good-read standpoint than a learn-how-to-wheel book (done a fair amt of wheeling over the yrs).Thomas, I think that link might be the book I was talking about.I'll see if I can get more info on it.

P.S. Mike, I definitely agree with you about leaning by doing. Thanks for sharing the link. It's intriguing.
