Does anyone have a photo or information that is stamped into the VIN plate under the hood for an ‘03 D2? Mine is missing, and I want to order a replacement, but want it to have accurate factory specs, VIN # obviously unique to my truck. This is an example I found on google images, but I have no idea what model it’s for. Mine is Oslo Blue. Full text or abbreviated in some way?
Nope, I’m really just trying to find someone with an ‘03 disco who can post a pic of their VIN badge (VIN blacked out if necessary), preferably someone with an Oslo Blue, so I can order a replacement that has the same info as stock.
Paint code was not included in the VIN. You can build your own VIN by reading the decoder chart and then using the last 7 digita for your truck.
That said, as pointed out there was no plate like that in the engine bay of a D2. The “VIN plate” is a sticker on the driver’s door. The pic of the plate you posted doesn’t apply to these trucks.
Ah, so plates don’t exist on NAS D2s? I just figured mine was missing. That’s great if they didn’t come on NAS, so it’s 1 less thing I need to replace. Lol
I’m willing to say that I’ve never seen one. There are thousands of pics on BringATrailer if you wanted a more definitive answer. Maybe particluar years got them??
