Anything over 32" tall is gong to make it really, really sluggish on the highway unless you re-gear.

I highlighted the areas with red circles and showed you kinda where the diagonal cut goes on the inner plastic sill (the picture is with my rock sliders on but you should get the idea).

I will post some more pictures come Tuesday (headed to the mtns here soon, snow is on the way )

The plastic sills are still on the side of the house so i will snap a close up of that and where the bumper was cut...i was really amazed that it didnt require more and it technically might not require any.

When i went to pick it up from the tire shop i brought along my hack saw because i thought i would rip something off...didnt touch at all. Came close with the tires turned so i cut as little as possible in the parking lot at the tire place just to get home...took it wheeling that weekend and never needed to adjust my cuts so i would be surprised its fine without the cutting....i was just worried about a tire turned the right way and a hard flex... no issues

I do rub on the passenger rear wheel well, only with the back packed full of camping gear, with someone sitting in the back on that side, and wheeling with one of the front tires off the ground....so it doesnt happen much....plan on extending my rear bump stop

Close ups to follow in a few days...

The only correction is with new angle corrected Radius arms.

As for how large a tire can you use, you need to realize that with a 265 or 235 tire, you need new gears, diffs and HD axle to handle their extra weight and traction.
I would suggest you run a 265 from Treadwright one because 235's are being fazed out and two, the extra width of the 265 makes a nice difference.
Here are a couple pictures of my 99 with something close to a 3" lift running 265's.

I thought the same thing and was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt that bad...never fell like i cant keep up with traffic or cant get up to speed in-time to merge.

Try to towing a 4500lbs trail up the slightest hill on 33s and stock gearing....now that is slow going...(only did that once because i was in a pinch....i switch back to my 18s on stock tires, 255/whatever/18s when i have to tow the trailer for any sort of distance....for now...plan to re-gearing this spring)

He has the big 4.6 l in there, all the power ya need .....

Seriously though, if you dont drive like its a sports car (i know, i know, i get a little heavy footed when i put it in "sport" mode) and the low range is plenty low enough for off-roading.

Tires - the backbones are great, but i wish i went with the guard dogs. The backbones are more suited for mud, large lug pattern to allow the mud to be throw. On the rocks i dont think they perform as well as the guard dogs (no side by side comparison, just my gut feeling compared to other tighter treads). When i can only get 1 front tire up on a rock its like there are only 2 or 3 lugs making contact and I slip. Surprising though they arent too loud on the road, I hear much louder drive by. I have the reply page up so i cant see where you live but get something that fits your area...if i lived back in the north east, wet sloppy mess i think the backbones would be the cats meeeeooowww.
