Last Bit of fun
OK i have a 1995 with around 270k miles on it. It has served as a daily driver for 13 years and is now left alone for the majority of the time as a new more efficient car takes me to work. I want the people of this forum to use my landrover as a guinea pig to see what will kill it. Post suggestion on this forum and every Saturday i will do my best to replicate what you post to test the durability of this marvelous feat of engineering. Keep in mind i am just messing around with this vehicle till it dies, but please dont suggest silly things like putting bleach in the oil or sugar in the gas tank. Im thinking more along the lines of off road adventures.
As an example: "drive it through water over the hood and see if it can make it through. If it dies let it set for an hour before you pull it out and see if it starts again after drying briefly"
or "try to jump it off a dirt bike ramp getting at least 5 feet airborne to test durability of suspension and axles"

Why would you do this? Either give it to someone or sell it. Introduce someone else to the wonderful world of off roading. Or, keep it for yourself and build a monster trail rig out of it. Just please don't kill it. I beg you.
This will take care of the D1, in this case you would need a dodge grand caravan instead of a Renault Espace.

On a serious note, I would turn it into a donor vehicle, part it out and let the forum members get what the need to keep theirs going...

Seriously tho why would you want to kill it, It has served you for a number of years!! Its probably paid for too ! What would you do for a vehicle if you wrecked your new one today? If you seriously want too kill please tell me or someone else on here before you toast it,There is no sense in killing a Land Rover period.I would be more than happy and others here too to introduce someone new and younger to the sport. I got a friend of mine that could really use another vehicle he would be more than happy too have it.
I agree with every one, DO NOT KILL IT!!
Keep it for when the snow is to deep, or for the big boom, you know it will run and get you out of Quahog and over to the Twinki factory in Natick.
Seriously, dont kill it.
There is a family with no car who would be more than happy with a old Rover, beats riding the bus.
