HELLO GUYS.HOPE ALL IS WELL .WHAT ABOUT THOSE GAS PRICES?HOLY CRAP! THE REASON I WRITE IS BECAUSEWHEN I SELECT A GEAR ON MY 2004 DISCO WITH 22000 MILES,I NOTICE A CERTAIN DELAY BEFORE THE GEAR IS ENGAGED.THIS JUST HAPPENS WHEN SELECTING A GEAR MORE OFTEN WHEN SELECTING REVERSE.NO CLUNCKS OR ANYTHING,OTHERWISE IT WORKS PERFECTLY AS IT SHOULD.IS THIS SOME KIND OF SYMPTOM OF ANY FUTURE PROBLEM?YOUR INFO AS ALWAYS WILL BE FULLY APRECIATED.THANKS IN ADVANCE.

 

Look for leaks,maybe low on fluid.

if no leaks present then schedule a service since your vehicle is still under warranty.

Oops, I thought you were referring to a previous girlfriend of mine, a lazy tramp! lol

 

The tranny shift pattern is regulated by it's own ECU, so if you are slow to engage I would suggest you do the 30K tranny service and also verify that you have no leaks and the level is full prior to changing the fluid. When doing the first tranny service a new filter is needed, afterwards you won't need to replace it again.
