Default leaking PAS hoses

Can anyone tell me the correct way to fit the high and low pressure hoses into the top of the steering box. The workshop manual seems to show an O ring associated with each hose at the steering box end. My question is does this O ring go between the end of the pipe and the flange on the pipe or does it go between the flange and the scrw on connector on the pipe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know, I am about to replace my hoses in the next month or so, but not having replaced them before I am drawing a blank.

Thanks Mike,
I was certain the O ring should be below the flange on the pipe (which is where I have them) but I've replaced them and still can't stop the leaking from the steering box. I am beginning to wonder if the pressure relief valve in the PAS pump has packed up and this is causing excessive pressure in the system. The Workshop manual lists this as one possible cause of leaks.

Allen,
If that is the case, put a bottle of Lucas power steering additive in your fluid and let it clean out the valves, works really well.
