Left Front rake Line replacement Questions
OK so I started to leak fluid from the middle of the drivers side rubber brake line and I am taking this D1 on a 800 mile trip next week. My question is what tools do I need to do this job. Its 8 degres out and I want to have everything setup before I start. Thanks.
If you have one line leaking, you should replace all, both front and rear, cause when one fails, the rest are soon to follow.
No special tools are requires, a couple open end wrenchs should be fine.
Buy 3 to 4 pints of DOT 4 brake fluid and do a complete bleed when done installing the 4 new lines.

I highly recommend one of these, they work great.

You'll also need a bubble flare kit:
This works well.

Then go to NAPA and get a roll of copper clad brake line tubing, 3/16"/4.75mm. This assumes you can reuse your fittings. If you can't, I'd order the fittings and line from http://www.fedhillusa.com/ if you don't have an import parts place near you where you can get the correct fittings.
Doh! I missed it was the flex line. Yes, replace them all, and all you need is a set of flare nut wrenches.
RTE has a good price on the teflon lined stainless steel wrapped ones.
