Default Licking problems?? Need Help

Hello,

I have a Land Rover Discover 1 (1996), I'm having a problem with my power steering, I noticed in the last few days when I try to park or getting out, my power steering get very hard to manoeuvre. I noticed also when I make a turn some noise that comes below the hood, but only when I turn when I am driving no noise and the power steering is normal.

I did check below the hood and I notice that a fluid is licking, I do not know where is coming from, but is a hose in between the two wheels. Is this licking related with the power steering? Can anybody help?

Thanks

Make sure the power sterring fluid is full.
On the power sterring lines you will have to change them if they are leaking,,and most likely they are.

You are low on power steering fluid. Go to the store and buy a quart of Dexron transmission fluid. Top off your power steering with the ATF (automatic transmission fluid)
If you continue to drive it with it this low you will burn up the power steering pump.

Over the years I've learned that a licking problem has more to do with the tongue than the power steering.
