I'm looking to identify the lift kit in my truck, which was installed by a previous owner. Didn't get any of the paperwork for that mod when I bought it, unfortunately. Now I need to do some suspension repairs, but I don't know what pieces I'm going to need.
Any thoughts on what parts I could look at to identify the kit?
What is the stock ride height front and rear, and what's the best way to measure this?
If you search this forum most guys measure the fender lip to the center of the wheel. I’m not sure what the measurements are. Your best off to dig around and see
I just found another thread that quotes 470mm (18.5") as the stock distance, wheel centres to fender. This leads me to believe that I've got a 2"Terrafirma kit.
Looking around at AB and Rovers North, it looks like a 2" medium duty spring and shock bundle is pretty common, and fits the bill for my truck. But that still leaves the shock towers as a mystery. What other parts might have been upgraded with a lift kit?
I know for sure that my radius arms are stock, at least. I've seen other kits that include things like a panhard bar, extended sway bar links, extended watts links, etc. Does anyone know the stock measurements of these pieces, to compare against my own?
I was under the impression that the higher you go, you educate & tackle additional suspension & driveline related parts as necessary & to discretion. I don’t think I’ve noticed a “kit” with anything more then springs/shocks.
Beauty of that 2” terra lift- is you really don’t need anything other then the time to install it to work well with everything else stock on these trucks.
