You won't get 3.5" out of a 2" lift unless your current springs are completely clapped out and you are running on the bump stops. Maybe just a little over 2" once you get the new springs and tires is realistic. Don't forget to get new shocks and steering damper too. Those won't add height but will make your new springs ride smoother.

I gained about 2" without steel front bumpers and extra weight like winch and roof rack. Steel rear bumper did not effect height. The MD or HD designation does not change height and is not related to how rugged they are, it refers only to load carrying ability.

ok great that is what I was wondering about as the description on Atlantic British say can gain more lift without the weight and that not what I want lol

and looking at the
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 255/70R18 Tires

Right, HD springs are meant to be a 2" lift when fully loaded. MD springs are less stiff which would make them sag more than the HD spring when loaded with the same weight. Standard Duty springs are available and are the equivalent of the stock load capacity.

So AB is probably correct in saying you may get more lift from an HD spring if your vehicle is unloaded.

The bottom line is HD will sag less under a heavy load. They will also be very stiff when unloaded as well as that extra bit of height.

Buy the right tool for the job... Only you know what you want out of your vehicle.

Personally I rarely carry any weight and very frequently take long freeway drives. I do like to go out on the forest roads and trails so I wanted lift with a smooth ride and no need for carrying capacity... I got the MD because plastic bumpers will break and I knew I'd eventually get at least a rear steel bumper... Futureproof. The SD would have probably worked fine too.
