Hello all,
I am a newbie here and I was wondering if there is a way to tell if you have a lift on your disco. When I bought the (2001 Disco II) truck a few months back it came with 265/70/16's on it which is roughly about a 30.6 in tire. I was wondering what was the biggest tire on a stock suspension you could have. I have seen/read some guys riding with 265/75/16's with the ome 2" lift which is roughly 31.6 in tire. Only 1 inch difference between the two. Thanks in advance!

No offense ebg18t...
But maybe I didn't ask my question correctly...
1. Is there a way to tell if you have a lift on your truck if you didnt put it on yourself?
2. What is the biggest tire that will fit on a stock suspension?
3. What size tires does everybody that has a stock suspension running?
But maybe I didn't ask my question correctly...

That kit is for a D1, but I'll bet enough googling will find one for a D2.
Suspension lifts are far more common on a discovery though.

I am running new 245/75/16s that are 30.7" (per the tire specs) on a stock suspension. I would say you can not go any bigger than that without a lift. But from what you are saying at 30.5" you may not have a lift, but looks like you are running a little wider tire, so not sure, and I am not an expert by any means.
