Question Lift, tires, and mpg. Got some questions

I have been reading around and looking but I have not been able to find what I am looking for. I am going to be lifting my D2 here in the next few months and I am trying to decide on how big of a lift and what size tires. I want to know what I am going to be getting myself into as far as losses in miles per gallon. Anyone out there that has lifted their disco have before and after numbers on the mpg? Also what size lift and tires did you go with? Also how noticeable was the loss in power? I know that my mileage is going to go down as well as passing power, just wondering what the differences are between the different lift and tire sizes. Thanks for any insight that you can provide.

I dont think a 2" lift will make a difference but a 5" will.

Tire size will do more to drop your mpg especially if you dont change your gear ratio.

I have a 2" lift with 245/75 tires, which on a D1 is only roughly a 1.5" diff in tire size. Gas mileage difference is almost not noticable, but the percieved power is.

I have an 04 Disco with the 4.6, I lifted it 2" with an OME lift from Lucky 8 and put 267/75/16 Goodyeay Wrangler TA's on with no loss of power and not a noticable gas mileage difference.

The lift won't cost you any mileage, a roof rack will cost you 1 to 1.5 MPG, a 265/75/16 will cost you 1.5 MPG in town and 1.0 on the road. A adam has mentioned, his 285's cost him an easy 2.0 MPH plus along with the roof rack.
Most people doe some type of an OME lift getting 2 to 2.5 "s of lift and something around a 32" tire, 265/75/16.

I lost about 1 mpg with 265/75/16 tires. Power seems almost the same = too slow.
