Looks good where you mounted it, like it was meant to be there. Aside from drilling into the roof nice work lol.

What is the point of that grille setup? I think they call it a saudi grill correct? Does it increase air flow to the engine?

Increased airflow and a lot of folks really like the look of it as well.

Smile Gizmo

Alright so I ordered a Gizmo 40" light bar. I guess it comes with a harness.
Amazon.com: OC Gizmo 40" 240W Watts LED Light Bar ATV Jeep Off Road Truck Boat Tractor Trailer With Wiring Harness: Automotive Amazon.com: OC Gizmo 40" 240W Watts LED Light Bar ATV Jeep Off Road Truck Boat Tractor Trailer With Wiring Harness: Automotive

What do you guys think of this bar? I treading on new territory with light bars. I know nothing about them or how to install. Is there anything else I need to buy in order to install this lightbar? I want to use one of the extra buttons already in my truck.

Assuming you dont have SLS or ACE you can use either of those circuits/relays to power your auxiliary stuff. (my LED bar is running through the ACE wiring and the spot lamps are going through the SLS)
where did you get the lightbar mounting things? How much they sell for?

I actually forgot that I cant use it anyways because the SD roof rack is installed. Should not be difficult to set up in any case.

Truck has 146k now and brand new duralast gold battery, but original alternator. No fancy dual battery setup - which is why im worried. In April Ill be using the light bar all night for at least a week while driving to illuminate the roads. Can a old alternator and new battery handle that kind of power or will it likely kill the new battery?

Im considering buying a spare used alternator in case mine should fail on the trip. Had it tested though and so far its in good shape.
No problems with power draw. But location could b a issue if used on road. Most states don't allow roof lights to b used on road. I've mounted mine on top of bull bar, wich is legal

Illegal to have it mounted on the roof or illegal to use them on public roads? I dont expect to be blinding people on the main roads. I purchased the light in part for my upcoming overland trip. I will be traveling alot of country roads as I get up in Canada and Alaska. Long stretches of roads with no other traffic, lots of trees and lots of animals roaming the road. Thats the primary purpose of the lightbar for me, and any offroading adventures that ever come my way.
