I just recently picked up the Discovery, is there any way to modify the lights so the go off when the key is turned off? I am really not used to having to actually turn on/off the lights every time.

I know the BCU on Discoveries can have some options changed via dealer or Testbook reprogramming, but the auto-off feature I did not see listed in RAVE. My RAVE covers MY99 and newer, but I don't know if it covers the "facelifted" DIIs.

Just some wire and a relay

 

The dealer can set that up along with a relay and you will have the lights the way you want them.

 

I was going to ask a similar question. I got the hawkeye scanner on tuesday and I wondering about in the BCU setup for enabling the DRL. Does anyone have a Canadian Discovery 2? Are the DRLs seperate? I know on some cars the DRLs are just the high beams running at 6v instead of 12v.

 

So I programmed my BCU to say DRL on with main beams off, and when I start 'er up the headlights come on.
