He probably sees so many because the dealer sends him a lot, it seems like the dealer is getting "creative" in his attempt to increase the profit margin.

why do D2's not have a fuel filter? nearly every car has the sock in the tank to protect the tank but also have a fuel filter later on down the line.

Replacing the injectors will not correct that issue, new o-rings might help.
Save yourself a bunch of money.

Fyi i have never seen a single injector plugged up in all my time working on rovers.

What about their recommendation for new plugs and wires? Did you already take care of that and see what codes come up?

Right now the priority is fixing the lean condition. I'm going to replace the injector seals this week and will report back.
