15a. I use the Lucas and I love it.

20. do you have an aftermarket stereo? or what plugs do you have on? if they are not insulated that can cause some interference.

I always thought it was better to get rid of the dexcool since it can cause degradation of the head gaskets? I was running dexcool but switched to the green. Did I misread something somewhere?

It is controversial. Some say that the dexcool (orange coolant) does cause deterioration of the gaskets and can even clog the radiator and other bits up, while others argue that is wrong. I am currently still using dexcool but plan on flushing it out and switching to a universal by peak.

It seems to be that the big problems people have with Dexcool are when it comes in contact with air when there is some sort of leak....like in the case of the throttle body heater plate.

I have new observations about item 20. Now 20a. and 20b. There are two different sounds which I was confusing!

20a. This "air" like sound seems to be an electronic sound related to having the sound system on - the original sound system is tuned to an unused radio frequency and an iPod is connected to an FM tuner powered through the front power jack. This sound will change as the transmission shifts and is gone when the sound system is off.

20b. This "air" like seems to be related to accelerating in drive. This sound is loud when not depressing the gas pedal and will get quieter and eventually go away as you depress the gas pedal further. I also noticed today that if you do this in neutral (press the gas pedal) the sound stays the same, but, if you do it in drive the sound will diminish as I just described.

your poll is incorrect. green coolant is not universal coolant.

There are loads of different coolants. Japanese green, Toyota red, Korean or European blue, or European yellow and of course GM orange.

For your truck. Dexcool aka orange is what GM recommends for Alumium radiators.
Your truck will run fine on Universal which can be mixed with Dexcool or Green coolant.
Green coolant cannot be mixed with dexcool therefore its not universal.
