lock not working
Remove inner door panel, remove lock actuator, open actuator and remove the 12v motor, take it to Radio Shack and get a new motor, reinstall.
Pretty much that simple.
Its the motor that goes bad not the lock.
You might want to lube the gears too white white lithium grease.

I just tried for an hour to get into one with no luck (girlfriends disco II). They certainly did not want anyone getting into that thing. If it were my truck I'd be a little bolder and grind the rivets out but it's not, so I won't. Maybe if she decides to get a new one I'll experiment with the old one.
