I don't think anything is broken other then my lock cylinder needs new lock pins. The cylinder just doesn't turn do to something being warn out with a pins or the key.

So I'll def just use the phillips to hopefully disarm the alarm.
You can try squurting dry graphite in the lock and then running the key in and out several times. It made mine work smoother. Or it might be screwed.

What's your remote situation? Any leftover remote with just bad buttons, where the guts can be put in a new FOB? Or no remote at all and just regular old keys with blades?

Mesquite TX

i do actually have a nother remote that lights up when i hit the buttons, but its not paired with the car at all. that was going to be my next step after getting the key thing figured out with the drive side door and the car running again, is to get a remote functioning with the car.

just got home and going to start taking the door handle apart now and the door card.

well i got the car to stop beeping. when i hooked up the battery, the alarm was going, so i went and turned the driver side door thingy with a large flat blade. but now when i arm it, the LED goes out, waits a bit, then starts flashing normal like the system is armed again, when i go to unlock, the LED just flashes fast and stays light. so whats the next step? try that 1515 code thing? just try and start it?

Awesome! Congrats!

I don't know about the fast flashing. Mine fast flashes when I have activated the alarm by, for instance, opening the hood after it was armed, before I disarm it by turning the key.

oh, and as for the lock not turning. the last pin in the cylinder broke in half and kept the lock from turning. so any good recommendations on a lock smith that can work on these?

I have a local locksmith, but I don't know of any to recommend (and I'm not sure where you are--if you are in Longview, TX then SHAME ON ME for not coming over to help). I think it will be cheaper to get another door handle and key.

im located in Mesquite TX,

so just got off the phone with landrover Dallas, they said that it would cost $155 to get them to clear the alarm or what ever and get the engine running again. I asked them if they could get me my EKA code and he stated they couldn't. so should i just keep calling dealerships till one can give me my EKA code?
