Locked outta my 03 Disco
Okay, so here it goes. When i bought my '03 Disco last year, it had been sitting 2 years in a parking lot with a dead battery (therefore my remote doesn't work b/c of the rolling-code feature). And then lately i've noticed a vibration in my driver's door but thought nothing of it. Well tonight when i stuck my key in to unlock it, i didn't get the normal "CLICK". There was nothing. The key turns without any type of resistance to the left and to the right. I tried all 4 of my keys, and yep, i'm pretty sure that my mechanism fell off on the inside of my door (so that's what that vibration was!). Does anybody have any ideas on how to get this bad-boy unlocked? (Preferably without the car-alarm going off?) Thanks in advance everyone!
Sorry about your luck but either a locksmith or this will get you into your truck.

LMAO! Thanks Spike! That just made my night right there! :-)
I'm calling the lock-smith tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if I can disable the security alarm (while it's sounding) by putting in the ignition key? Or will that just anger the Disco even more?

Sooo i had a lock-smith come out today, and he worked on it for about 45 minutes. He finally got some luck with the back hatch. Somehow he managed to get it undone with a long wire pulling on the door handle.
Upon inspecting my locking mechanism on the driver's door, i found that there's a super-small piece of metal that connects the key-lock to the mechanism on the inside of the door. The metal piece was snapped in half, that's why the key failed me. So for ya'll who just use a key, beware.
Thanks for your input everyone! :-)
