Default Long travel for D2

Hello! I recently have been wheeling with a local offroad group mainly consisting of jeeps, and I couldn't help but notice how easily they're able to crawl up most obstacles while I'm the clown in the back giving it the beans to make up for my lack of down travel. I currently have a 2" lift with old man emu shocks and an unknown manufacturer for the springs. I have yet to disconnect my sway bars to test what the limiting factor is. Regardless id like to change my suspension set up to maximize down travel, droop, flex, whatever you want to call it so I can maintain contact with all 4 wheels or at least 3 without lifting the car any higher. Does anyone out there have a set up like I'm envisioning or have any suggestions? I've looked far and wide and can't seem to find a solution.

Thanks!

Disconnecting the sway bars will somewhat help.
Make sure your brake lines and abs wires are long enough for the extra articulation you want to achieve.

Definitely install longer brake lines. With sway bars disconnected I'm running 3-4" of lift and the +3" terrafirma shocks and have quite a bit of flex. The Watts linkage is my limiting factor in the rear for articulation. Once I wear through these terrafirmas or finish a few other wants for the truck I plan on digging into the suspension a little more and look into truly maximizing the articulation without going any higher and going with some higher quality shocks.

Just out of curiosity, how long have you been riding with the group?

Ive been doing some more research and came across rovertym which has spring retainers and lucky 8 has longer brake lines and its surprisingly affordable. I have been offroading with the group for about 2 months now across varying difficulties. We're based here in South Western Colorado, so the trails are more technical than my home town in Southern Nevada. Outside of that I've been offroading in discovery's for about 7ish years now.

if you make it closer to the divide or even the front range there is a good group of rovers that are pretty active out of the denver area!

I’m on 10in travel Foxes with a 4in lift and sway at disconnects. I can unseat my front springs on that setup.

On the rear, I still have oem watts linkage. Going to go panhard on the rear to get the travel I want. Also I deleted the rear sway bar

The Rovertym (RTE) stuff has been working well for me. The truck rides nice and functions well.

Not to hijack but where is everyone getting 4" springs? Last I heard RTE springs had some quality control issues vs their older stuff. I'd rather not run 3" with a 1" puck like I am currently running.
