Default Look what I got!

It came in last night all the way from merry old England. I should have it mounted up Saturday, then it's off to 4WP to test fit some lights.

I'm thinking about the 8" ProComp driving lights in black. They're $36 a peice.

Brilliant, mate. Post pictures when you have it mounted. I have been very curious to see what that would look like. I have seen those bars in ads, but never mounted on a Disco.....hmm.....

They are the "easiest" way to mount front spots if you dont have a "A" Frame or "Bull" bar on a pre-facelift Disco 2The picture above shows it mountedon the GenLand Roverwinch mount, but its also for just goingstraighton tothe front bumper to like below. They are GEN land rover items, it can be bought in stainless steel to

Does the bumper need to be removed completely to install? Thanks for the picture.

I removed the bumper when I put mine in, it was just easier. You can just remove the grill and do it that way but the bumper removal seemed the best choice for me.

Wow, more interest than I thought.

The bars are made by a company called Simbars, but I have never seen this particular bar for sale in the US. It bolts through the bumper and serves no real purpose but to add some look and a mounting location for the lights.

The instructions I have say to just remove the grill, which I will try first since it's obviously less labor intensive.

In total, shipped from England, I paid around $130 US.

I'll post a write up w/ pics after I get it finished.

jmt,
I totally forgot to post some pix and I know I said I would. I got the exact same one but while doing it I noticed that removing the bumper worked better. If you have the Rave cd it actually has detailed instructions on how to mount this since it was originally a factory part overseas.

I remember that now landc, it's ok.

I should have it on in a few hours on Saturday so look for an update. I'll most likely start a new thread.
