Looking For A Good Discovery DI?
Does anyone out there know of anyone or any good websites or anything like that, that has a good running discovery DI from 1997-1999, well heck any year DI? Maybe something with less than 100K miles?
I have looked on there and E-bay, I was just wondering if any other places! How much would a nice Discovery cost with low miles cost? maybe a 1996-1999? Just roughly?
Depends on how hard you look and how lucky you are honestly.
If you absolutely have to have one within a few weeks, expect to pay a little bit more. Maybe in the range of 6-10 for a DI in superb condition. If you wait for a good deal I'd bet you could argue your way down to 5 for a DI in really good condition.

Dont buy off e-bay motors unless it is from a dealer.
Also check the classifieds on this forum, also check the classifieds on www.atlanticbritish.com.
I assume that you have a car now, start cruising your local small time car lots on Saturdays, or any other day that you dont work.
Your big dealerships wont have them, to old. But the small mom and pop dealers may.
Find the repo lots in your area, look there too.
Also talk to your local Land Rover salesman, he can help point you in the right direction.

Around here almost EVERY place puts their inventory on autotrader.com and i have found it gives you the most information. The best thing you can do is do a BUNCH of comparison research. Once you find a few, drive all of them for while and get used to how they should feel. If you can find a loyal owner who is just ready to part, that is usually the best way to go. But its pretty hard to find those....
1996 Land Rover Discovery (Series 1) SE7
Alpine White/"Bahama Beige" Tan Leather
All Options; seven-seater, dual-sunroofs, ect.
Manual Transmission
just turned 93k miles
BFG Long-Trail Radial T/A tires with lots of life left
Front brush guard isn't pretty, but really nice shape other than that especially the interior. Also not sure if cruise control works.
Brush guard, lamp guards, ladder, full-length roof rack, all-weather rubber floormats. have 3 spare tires on steel rims.
i had wanted to sell it for awhile since i'll be away in Europe for six months starting in January, but for some reason couldn't find the right buyer so i decided to keep it.
I had it listed for $5,500.
I live near Boston, Massachusetts and go to school in Burlington, Vermont where the truck makes its second home.
