Default Looking for stock exhaust replacement input

Hi, so my exhaust has approx 180,000 mi and is at the end of life . Looking to replace, but I've seen lots of ppl here modifying their exhaust... Has anyone replaced their exhaust with non OEM stock?

Should the cats be replaced at the same time? Thx

That is exactly what I will be doing. If your y-pipe is still good(cats not gone) and not leaking, leave will enough alone. I would go with stainless steel exhaust when replacing any of the exhaust if you have the funds.

Joemamma1954 - are you looking at your local muffler shops OR are you looking at places like Rover North / Atlantic British?

Deciding on the aluminized system like AB offers at 269.00(on eBay) or the Magnaflow #16888 stainless steel system (convertershack has a winter code for discount). most sell for around 608.00.
Exhaust systems rust out faster on vehicles that are not driven long enough to get their exhaust system hot enough to dry them out. Since h2o is a byproduct of combustion, there will always be water in the exhaust. This is the reason i lean toward the stainless steel. I normally install stainless and forget about it. But on the other hand you can purchase 2 systems from AB for less than 1 Magnaflow.
I also would like a little better sound, but eliminating the resonator would be no problem.
I guess I my financial situation will dictate what I buy when the time comes.

FWIW, I sell that same $269 kit for $210/delivered. Closeout price.

Yea, good luck with that. Lucky for us we don't have to worry about price matching since we are pretty much wholesale to the public. And we pay a lot of money to sponsor this website.
