Just wondering- why do you want to know the widest tire you can fit?

May look cool, but if you do any moderate wheeling wider tires can snap your spider gears, stopping you in your tracks.
So for the original question, why do you need the?

I understand. I was just giving a reason for many people wanting the wider tire. Some don't wheel much and it's a piece of art to drive around.

The one place I did find the wider to be helpful was when I was deep snow trailing. Lower the pressure, and there is nowhere you cannot go. Well, almost.

285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers - managed to 'squeeze' these on mine. I also went w a 2" lift. For the record, i wish i would have went 3"........

I have seen many of Disco's with the 16x8 wheel have 245/75R16 tires with a 2" lift and not have any issues. Seem to fit pretty good too. That is what I plan to put on mine when I replace the tires I have on now.

I have 275 70 18 with 2" lift on mine. I did very minimal trimming to front at full lock and little flexing to fit them. I will go 285 on my next set. I like wider too since it Floats on sand and snow better
