Default Lost my owners manual quick question on oil change

What size oil filter does the Disco II take? Also I believe it takes 6 quarts of oil from empty?

Thanks. Wife's at Walmart figure she can at least get the oil and hopefully filter from there.

Either a Mobil 1-301 or a K&N 3001 are the 2 best filters to buy.

We cant tell you the size, you need to look in the book for the correct application.

Wix 51515 (or NAPA Gold, same PN) is also an excellent filter (a bit larger than stock for added filtering capacity) and less that 1/2 the cost of Mobil 1 or K&N.

Really? I just bought two last week at my normal place, a heavy truck parts place, and they were $4.79. And that was with a price increase since last time.

I didnt shop around, I just stopped at a place on my way home from work that I know had them.
I am going to shop around between now and my next oil change, we were going on a 300+ mile trip pulling a 2,000 lbs. trailer the next day and I had to get the oil changed before we went so time was a factor.
Not to mention that all the little autoparts places around here that are not big box stores all close at 5pm on weekdays.
